Hospitality: An Invitation to the Lord's Table (Week 3)

Jesus taught that offering hospitality was the way in which he would be able to determine who his true disciples were. Why does Jesus connect acceptance of the gospel with offering and receiving hospitality? Why does this connection surprise our modern ears? Would a better understanding of the connection between hospitality and the gospel give us new avenues to introduce others to Jesus at a time when an increasing number of people are resistant to invitations to church?
