Hospitality: An Invitation to the Lord's Table (Week 2)

In the scriptures, we see that hospitality is commanded of all of Christ’s followers. It also serves as a key criteria for those who would serve the church. The writers of the New Testament would have expected all who read the scriptures to be familiar with the practices of hospitality, but being so far removed from these customs, we often miss the full meaning of many passages that are better understood in the context of hospitality. We also take time to discuss the practical challenges of engaging hospitality in the 21st Century.

Scripture References: Luke 14:12-14, 1 Timothy 3:2, Titus 1:8
