On Mission - Missional People meet People where they Are

On Mission

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He commanded His followers to serve as His witnesses throughout the world and to make disciples. In 1 Corinthians, Paul describes how he carries out this command: by becoming all things to all people. And in Acts 17, we see Paul do this very thing as he teaches the Berean Jews in the synagogue and engages the intellectual elites in Athens at the Areopagus. How do we become all things to all people, today?

When someone chooses to follow Jesus, they must understand what it means to be “on mission” – sent into the very places we find ourselves each day. We must have certain perspectives and attitudes that allow us to see relationships differently and to live into the missional calling that each of us has. This is an adventure that moves us with hope and vision into the very spaces we find ourselves in each day.
