On Mission - Missional People are GLOBALOCAL

On Mission

Too many of Christ’s followers think of mission as a two-step process: "first we'll reach our neighbors, then we'll go to the nations." As they came to understand the commission of Jesus, the early Christians realized that their assignment was near and far, local and global simultaneously. When we discover this strategy in scripture, it clarifies our aim and focuses our activities as a missional church in the multicultural 21st century.

From Series: "On Mission"

When someone chooses to follow Jesus, they must understand what it means to be “on mission” – sent into the very places we find ourselves each day. We must have certain perspectives and attitudes that allow us to see relationships differently and to live into the missional calling that each of us has. This is an adventure that moves us with hope and vision into the very spaces we find ourselves in each day.
