How Do We Love: Sexually Active & Cohabitating Couples (Week 5)

How do we love cohabitating and sexually active couples? In addition to sharing the truth lovingly about God’s design for sexual intimacy, we want others to know that God is not arbitrary in His ways or His commands. We want others to see that God’s desires the best for His children because of His love for them. According to the scriptures, we are only to have sex with our spouse within the committed bonds of marriage. Is such a command intended for our benefit, or is it an outdated norm from a by-gone era? If we affirm that this is part of God’s design for our flourishing, why do we so often choose a different path? How can we balance sharing the truth with others while loving them in practical ways that draw them closer to God?
