Fasting Like an Apprentice
Inspired by Chapter 6 pages 195-202 of Dallas Willard’s book Divine Conspiracy. Fasting had frequently been turned into an exercise in exhibitionism and respectability. But Jesus knew that when we learn the discipline of secrecy, our bodies and souls will be directly sustained by the invisible kingdom. Physical nourishment is available directly from spiritual sources.
