How to Help
Being cooped up at home during a time of crisis can be frustrating. Finding ways to help out can be difficult, especially through the bombardment of information coming at us. Check out the info below to find ways you can help out!
Call/Check on a Friend or Neighbor
Call, FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, write an email or even a handwritten letter. Let others know they are not alone and that you are thinking about them during this time!
pray for our community
Pray for friends, family, your community and for the world. Pray for healthcare providers on the frontlines. Pray for wisdom for those in leadership. Bring your concerns and requests to God. Head to newsongsd.org/prayer to see some of the needs in our community.
Collect + Donate Medical Supplies
Maybe you or someone you know has a construction, cleaning or other type of business with a box of unopened and unused masks or gloves that they can donate to a local hospital in need. New and unused medical supplies are desperately needed for our healthcare organizations and workers! If you have supplies to donate, but aren't sure what to do call us at 909.394.9488, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

NEWSONG PANTRY drive-up + Drop-off
We are serving hundreds during this time and could not do it without your generous donations! As you shop, if you're able, grab a few extra items from the list we've included here. If you have something that's not on the list, all unopened/not expired items are welcome! See website for collection times: http://newsongsd.org/.

- Canned meats
- Pasta & pasta sauce
- Mac & cheese
- Canned fruits & veggies

Healthy individuals can still donate, even in areas that have issued shelter in place declarations. Set up an appointment to give blood at the Red Cross website in the coming weeks to help keep up with the ongoing need!
practice social distancing
This one is tough because it's being forced on us all, but it is SUPER important! By staying home, even if you are not sick, you give the virus less opportunity to spread. This helps flatten the curve, easing some of the burden on our healthcare infrastructure - ultimately saving lives.
continue to support newsong
NewSong exists to be transformed by the Holy Spirit, to FOLLOW Jesus, LOVE people and DO good. We are called to emphatically live out this mission during this time. Your support and generosity help us to achieve this mission. For ways to give, head to newsongsd.org/give.
For healthcare providers:
Consider Registering for the California Health Corps
If you are a licensed healthcare provider, this one's for you! California is preparing for an increased need and asking healthcare providers to register to work during a public health emergency. For more info, head to the California Health Corps website.
