A word from Grant Myles-Era, Lead Pastor...
After an eventful 48 hours of canceled flights and C.D.C. inspections and questionnaires, I am back home with you all! I feel so very grateful to all the staff, elders, admin team and entire congregation for being such an inspiring, gracious, hopeful, creative, flexible, and joyful family of faith. It is at times like this when we truly discover the strength of our community and the trustworthiness of the God who is faithful throughout all seasons and trials. In accordance with CDC guidelines, I will be self-isolating for 14 days. I have set up a work station here at home and am excited to engage with all of you!
During a time like this, our calling in our community will be particularly relevant, important, and fruitful…
"To love God and to love our neighbors."
Let’s be in the word and prayer. NewSong church, over the coming weeks, will be a source of consistent, nourishing, biblically-balanced, and encouraging teaching. Please dig in deep and participate!
A question to ask at a time like this is, “How can I love my neighbors?” We plan to provide some resources to help each of us pray for and otherwise minister in Jesus’ name to people in our sphere of presence.
Furthermore, we have many local independent businesses for whom this is a scary time. Have a think about what local businesses you might patronize (with the appropriate social distance 🙂 ) to be difference makers for them. Let them know that you appreciate their services and are praying for them.
I plan to continue to be available to chat with, pray for, pray with, hear from, and share my gifts and resources with you my brothers and sisters (even if only virtually for a while!). The church was built for such a time as this and I am overjoyed to be in partnership with you for the sake of the world that God so loves.
We for whom Christ Jesus has defeated death have nothing to fear. So let’s wash our hands and then bring them together in thankful and expectant prayer to the One who is here, is always active and who calls us to join his good work.

With the national, state, and local governments' decision to close schools, it is out of an abundance of caution that we will not be gathering in our building on Sunday mornings. We've always believed that NewSong church is not simply a building...it's people who make up the church. Our team is working on shifting our community into the digital realm. We will air service on Sunday morning at 9A on our website, as well as Facebook and YouTube. If you aren't able to catch it at that time, services will be archived on our website.
Parents...we understand the pressure you may be feeling with having the kids at home for at least the next couple of weeks. Kristie Thomas (Elementary Director) and Marissa Tiddle (Early Childhood Director) are looking into ways to engage your kids and resources they can provide to help you guide your kids spiritually in your home.
Our normally scheduled student events have been postponed. Josh Coya (Student Ministry Pastor) is working on creating ways to connect with our students online.
Our pantry ministry will continue to function, according to the original schedule. To help reduce the risk of any potential exposure(s) the pantry will be offering a drive-up option only. Staring April 1, drive-thru donations will be accepted on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10A-12P.
Currently, all of our scheduled calendar events have been postponed. We are working with ministry leaders to come up with creative ways to engage our community online.
Currently, about 80% of our giving comes in through the giving baskets during weekend services. We ask that you move your giving online so we can continue to support and make an impact in our community.
