WHAT TO EXPECT
A little help from our friends…
Visiting a new church can be intimidating. Our Connection Team is filled with warm, welcoming people who would love to answer any questions you may have. They can help you get your kids checked in, help you find a seat or point you in the direction of the nearest bathroom if that’s what you need. If you’re visiting or have any questions, look for someone wearing a badge that says, “Ask Me…” and they’ll be happy to help you out.
You might notice some of our signs or printed materials don’t quite line up with the logos/colors on this site. Don’t worry…we are in the process of updating our look and feel and have a plan in place!
Come as you are. We mean that. We don’t care how you’re dressed as long as you’re wearing something. We won’t single you out and we won’t guilt you into giving us your money.
If you have kids, our Family Connections team provides a safe and fun environment for them. When you check your child(ren) in you’ll receive a printed label assigned to your child making sure that only you can come pick them up. All of our kids volunteers are screened and background-checked.
We try to connect the Bible to everyday life through teaching and music. Our worship service is more modern (don’t worry…we try to keep the drummer and electric guitar player under control). Sometimes, you’ll see a Q & A time after the message that’s open for anyone to ask the speaker a question.
Each week we take up an offering. If you’re new, please don’t feel obligated to give. This time is a chance for those who call NewSong home to give back to God a little bit of what He has given to us.
Communion is a time for us to reflect and celebrate the sacrifice that Jesus made for us. If you’re uncomfortable with this, we ask that you let the tray go by and use this time to think and reflect about the service.
