It is at the core of our beliefs that we should risk everything in obedience to Christ, that we should live our lives in authentic community, and that we should allow ourselves to be transformed by God and the reality of His reign. While we realize that living out these objectives calls for courage, humility, faith, and trust on our part, we believe the pursuit to be well worth the gain. Living in obedience to Christ can be challenging but He strengthens and encourages us - and most of all, He is so gracious toward us as we pursue emulating the love and obedience to God that He displayed in His own life. I have found that as we live in authentic, transparent community with others, we are further strengthened as we walk along side one another - providing and enjoying support, friendship, and wise counsel. These "life-on-life" relationships help to facilitate the transformation; helping us to live the abundant life that Christ gave His life for. NewSong is a community committed to communion with God, community with one another, and commission to the world.
